國際組織攜手臺灣醫界與病友，呼籲完善IBD健保給付
為解決發炎性腸道疾病（Inflammatory Bowel Disease, IBD）病友面臨健保「期限到即被迫停藥」的制度困境，台灣腸保健康協會（TIHA）與台灣腸道醫學會（TASID）於11月3日共同舉辦「Making Remission Last｜讓緩解持續，讓未來不被中斷」政策倡議論壇。會中特別邀請全球病患可近性聯盟（Global Alliance for Patient Access, GAfPA）執行董事 Brian Kennedy 來臺，與國內頂尖臨床專家、病友代表、立法委員陳菁徽委員、陳昭姿委員、王正旭委員辦公室陳柏儒主任；以及健保署顏家瑞副署長、葉雅婷科長共同對話，正式發表五大政策訴求與共同聲明，呼籲完善 IBD 健保給付制度，讓有效治療不中斷。 IBD 好發於20至40歲的青壯年時期，也可能發生於青少年，正值求學、就業與成家的重要人生階段。目前全臺領有 IBD 重大傷病卡的病友約有一萬人，但考量疾病診斷不易與審查門檻，此數字可能低於實際罹病人數，仍有許多潛在病友正受疾病所苦。 在現行制度下，臺灣部分進階治療仍設有約一年的健保給付療程限制。病友往往必須先經歷傳統藥物

陽明交通大學與台北榮民總醫院研究團隊，首度在國內2名住院患者身上，分離出帶有新型抗藥突變的肺炎克雷伯氏菌（Klebsiella pneumoniae）。研究發現，該菌株的青黴素結合蛋白3（PBP3）多插入「YRIT」4個胺基酸，可能使青黴素類、頭孢菌素類及單醯胺環類等多種常用抗生素的藥效大幅下降。若細菌突變或取得其他抗藥基因，恐演變成幾乎無藥可用的高度抗藥菌株。相關研究已與美國紐約州立大學水牛城分校陳亮教授團隊合作，刊登於美國疾病管制署旗下期刊《Emerging Infectious Diseases》，向國際提出警示。
