Old video of sanitation workers' protest falsely linked to youth rally in India

Indian police deployed thousands of officers and restricted transportation in and around New Delhi ahead of a planned rally by the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in October 2026, but a clip circulating online of rubbish being dumped on the street does not show authorities setting up blockades to restrict the protests. The video was in fact filmed months earlier in the state of Haryana and shows a strike by sanitation workers demanding better pay.
