Thousands of protesters, including supporters of opposition parties and the youth-led satirical Cockroach Janta Party, marched in New Delhi in October 2026 demanding the election chief's resignation in a fresh challenge to the Indian government. But an image circulating online purportedly showing the demonstrations actually depicts a protest in Spain over a month ago.
