圖／示意圖商傳媒｜責任編輯／綜合外電報導一項重大科學突破於近期揭露，美國的 DIII-D National Fusion Facility 核融合反應器（透過模擬太陽中心的反應來產生巨大能量的裝置）成功測試了以3D列印技術製造的全尺寸鎢材料零件，證明這項先進技術可望克服商業核融合發展的關鍵瓶頸。 這些鎢材料測試磚，在反應器的「偏濾器區」（ exhaust zone, divertor ）內，承受了高達74次的電漿噴射以及長達三天的粒子轟擊。在反應器高功率運轉期間，測試磚歷經了約四分鐘的直接電漿曝露，而這些電漿的溫度甚至比太陽核心還要高。更值得一提的是，這些3D列印的鎢材料測試磚，在一次意外中，即便鄰近的傳統測試磚融化並噴灑液態金屬在其表面，仍保持完好無損，展現其卓越的耐受性。 鎢（一種熔點極高的金屬），因其極高的熔點（約3,422°C）與高密度，被選為國際熱核融合實驗反應爐（ITER）等未來核融合發電廠的關鍵材料。然而，鎢在低於600°C時會變得脆性，容易像玻璃般碎裂，且過往多數以雷射進行的3D列印嘗試，都導致成品多孔且佈滿裂痕。為解決此技術難題，來自北卡羅萊納州立大學、橡樹嶺國家實驗室及日本電子的聯合研究團隊，採用了電子束粉末床熔融（EB-PBF）技術。 EB-PBF 技術利用高速電子束在真空腔中逐層熔化鎢粉，並在整個製程中將建造環境溫度維持在1,400°C以上（約2,552°F），以防止裂紋產生。最終製成的測試磚尺寸約為140毫米寬、20毫米厚。研究人員於2025年已在小型樣本上驗證了此概念，今年七月，這些測試磚被安裝於銅合金基座上，並固定在位於聖地牙哥的 DIII-D National Fusion Facility 內進行測試。其中，日本電子在位於昭島市的大型印表機上製造了全尺寸測試磚，而橡樹嶺國家實驗室則提供了核融合材料的專業知識與專案資金，北卡羅萊納州立大學則負責後續的加工與精修，包含使用放電加工技術塑形安裝夾具以及將表面研磨至鏡面光澤。 北卡羅萊納州立大學助理教授兼電漿物理學家 Florian M.
