That timeline could be a key factor in TSMC’s talks with Elon Musk. One option would have TSMC own and operate the plant. SpaceX would invest in the project and buy chips from it. Another option would give SpaceX a majority stake. Musk confirmed the talks with TSMC on X, saying they are still at an early stage.
