European Lawmakers Visit Taiwan To Strengthen Ties

Around 50 European lawmakers from 19 countries visited Taipei for the Formosa Club conference, pledging to deepen cooperation with Taiwan in AI, drone technology and semiconductors. Discussions also focused on undersea cable resilience and protecting critical infrastructure amid shared security challenges. President Lai Ching-te welcomed efforts to build trusted supply chains with democratic partners, while lawmakers vowed to promote stronger Taiwan ties back home.
