Footage from Argentina passed off as India opposition demonstration

A protest called by Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and backed by the online "Cockroach Janta Party" movement drew tens of thousands of demonstrators amid tight security in New Delhi on November 1, 2026. But footage circulating online does not show crowds marching in the Indian capital; the video was filmed in December 2022 when Argentina football fans took to the streets of Buenos Aires to celebrate the team's FIFA World Cup victory.
