Taiwan shares end down ahead of futures settlement - Focus Taiwan

Shares in Taiwan closed lower Tuesday ahead of the October futures contracts settlement date Wednesday amid fears that foreign institutional investors, who hold a large chunk of short positions, will sell in the spot market for profits in futures, dealers said.
