Months-old clip falsely shared as October 2026 flooding in Indonesia

Massive floods hit several areas of the Indonesian province of West Sumatra -- including provincial capital Padang in October 2026 -- but a video showing vehicles being swept away by floodwaters in a residential area is old. AFP took similar footage of the flooding, which actually took place in the same neighbourhood in November 2025.
