Unrelated protest videos misrepresented as Cockroach Janta Party rally in Indian capital

Ahead of a planned rally by India's youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in New Delhi in October 2026, months-old clips circulated in social media posts falsely claiming they showed huge crowds arriving for the protest against the country's election commission. The clips were in fact filmed in July hundreds of kilometres away in Bhopal and Kolkata, during a farmers' protest and another demonstration calling for the then-education minister's resignation.
