Old videos falsely linked to France's high school protests

As French students took to the streets in September 2026 to protest against the education system, social media posts resurfaced old videos falsely linking them to the rallies. The videos in fact show unrelated events, such as Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League celebrations that went violent in May 2026, a bus fire in Nîmes and a protest at the Euronext Paris building that took place in 2023, and a 2025 Ganesh Festival celebration.
